Five tips for writing a gig description that actually sells

A clear, specific gig description is the single biggest lever a new seller has - here are five things that consistently help.

  1. Lead with the outcome, not the process. Buyers care about what they will get, not your workflow.
  2. Be specific about deliverables. "2 logo concepts, 3 revisions, source files included" beats "professional logo design."
  3. Set realistic delivery times. Under-promise and over-deliver rather than the other way around.
  4. Show, don't just tell. Add gallery images of real past work wherever you can.
  5. Answer the obvious questions up front. File formats, revision limits, and what's NOT included all belong in the description.
